The Sacred Heart Network to which St Catherine’s belongs, now includes 24 schools across North America and nearly 160 schools internationally. Some of its schools came together via the powers of Zoom for a live celebration of the talent of its pupils.
The event was hosted by Convent & Stuart Hall, Schools of the Sacred Heart San Francisco and organised by Margaret Grace Hee, Theatre Program Director There were performances by the very talented Grace Knight, Beth Tiffney, Meabh Loughran, Aideen O Hanlon and Melanie Lavery, all Sixth Form pupils from St. Catherine’s College. The girls, who were thrilled to be taking part, performed songs and monologues. Throughout the weekend friendships were developed and connections made with pupils who share a passion and love for the Creative Arts.
Mrs Mary MacGinty, Head of Drama in St. Catherine’s, who organised the St Catherine’s College participants for the event, was delighted with the success of the event: “In the darkness of the pandemic here was the welcome flicker of performance light.
