SAINT CATHERINE’S COLLEGE CHRISTMAS CHARITY CHEER

Pictured here are some of the representatives of the Saint Catherine’s College Pioneer Group members whose generous donation to the Armagh Food Bank weighed over 1000kg.

The committed Pioneer Group from Saint Catherine’s College organised the annual school foodbank appeal, ensuring every class in the school had an opportunity to drop off their donations.  The pupils, aided by the school’s Head of Chaplaincy Services, Mrs Fiona Caldwell, were keen to support the work of Armagh Food Bank which is a collaborative project facilitated by Armagh Elim church that seeks to engage with the whole community, to tackle food poverty in our local area.

Armagh Foodbank CoOrdinator Glenda McMullen offered her thanks to the school community:

“Please accept our heartfelt thanks for the outstanding donation your pupils, staff and parents have made to Armagh Foodbank.  We were so impressed by the enthusiasm of your pupils this morning when we came to collect your donation. Your generous donation is immensely valuable in enabling us to provide short-term emergency food to people in crisis in our local community.”
